New venue Decibels on Canwick Road opens its doors for the first time this Saturday (5th June) to revellers for a night of DJs, live music and a burlesque performance from Holly van der Flash.
Decibels is a venue that caters for every possible taste and is encouraging people to venture out from the city centre.
New owner Elvis Idegbekwu, a 32-year-old promoter, DJ and music producer, said: “We know Decibels is on the outskirts of Lincoln, so we’re trying as much has we can to encourage people down to our events.”
The future programme of events for the club includes jazz performances, burlesque, special entertainment for members of the Armed Forces and student nights.
The club hopes to support Lincoln’s community of musicians and performers by offering the venue free of charge for people wishing to perform there.
Mr Idegbekwu said: “Decibels isn’t going to be a typical street nightclub. We’ll be encouraging young bands and artists coming up and supporting the performers already around.”
The club is open this Saturday 9pm to 4am. Proof of age may be required. Entry is free.
