LoveLincoln.co.uk is excited to announce that 10,000 free tickets are now available for the Lincoln Olympic Torch Relay Evening Celebration on Wednesday 27th June.
Among the attractions will be British rapper and grime artist Loick Essien, a competition to win tickets to the 2012 Games and the chance to have your photo taken with the Olympic Torch itself!
The event will take place at Yarborough Sports Ground between 5pm and 7.30pm and guarantees to be a spectacular evening of music, dance and entertainment.
Councillor Donald Nannestad from City of Lincoln Council commented: “The Lincoln Olympic Torch Relay Evening Celebration is set to be an exciting event, packed full of entertainment for all the family.
“As well as a fantastic performance from Loick Essien, we’ll be celebrating our local talent with some incredible performances by dancers, gymnasts and musicians from across Lincolnshire. This is a fantastic event to be a part of, and I would encourage as many people as possible to apply for free tickets.”
At the start and finish of the event local company In Production Music will showcase local talent One World performing a dance and gymnastics show. Musicians will play a mix of hip-hop, dubstep, banghra and other world music styles whilst dancers, gymnasts, parkour artists and free runners will perform both on stage and off stage.

“We’re working with some amazing young performers from across the county to put together two pieces that showcase the fantastic breadth of talent from our region. We’re really looking forward to the day itself and feel very proud to be a part of this fantastic event.”
