My first blog post and the excitement is mounting… first the General Election (managed to stay up till 2pm then flaked out) and now the curtain goes up on our latest theatre production.

Common Ground Theatre Company is staging Be My Baby at Croft Street Community Centre this weekend. Yesterday brought the usual chaos – buying booze for the bar, set building, figuring out how the lights work, trying to cram a technical and a dress rehearsal into one evening, working on fake pregnancy bumps, organising front of house and programmes and tickets and goodness knows what else.

Our 19th show and it’s shaping up nicely. It’s an intimate, poignant play and with an all-female cast it’s a good showcase for our actresses. Break a leg everyone!
